I know it’s suppose to seem silly and funny, but really it’s just gross and a little sad. Not something you should admit to someone who isn’t a very close friend, let alone paying customers. ( Even if you are high or drunk or whatever at the moment. )

Stream activities may also include: Hating on anyone who DOESN’T like the Medic.

Bragging about how high and drunk she is.

Complaining that she will never find anybody who really likes her.

Complaining about how her art sucks to a room full of fans. 

Complaining about how she wished people took her seriously.  

Complaining how stupid it is that Valve doen’t recognize her talent and hire her right now.

Complaining that Medic isn’t a real person.

Complaining that artists who work on art for a living don’t recognize her amazing talent and talk to her more. 

I know people keep saying that Owly is getting better at being more mature, but compared to everyone else her age in this fandom she’s still in training wheels. The way she acts is mature for a 15 year old. Maybe.

She has her bright and dark moments but people really have to stop hailing her as a ‘new person’.
I know she’s trying to get out from under that whole ‘Snapesnogger’ thing but really it doesn’t seem like she’s changed at all sometimes.  

Okay I’m in a ranty mood tonight, why don’t I just comment in this too because frankly, this pisses me off.

I’ve been to many of Owly’s streams, and I never recall her saying anything of the sort and this is really rude, the artist confessions blog is there to express true heartfelt opinions about artist’s and their artwork, not to smear the names of other artists. Fantastic artists might I add.

People commenting saying Owly isn’t mature? Are you sure you aren’t the immature one?

And I saw someone else reblog this saying how a couple of her works is borderline ridiculous? I don’t think so. I personally think that those pictures were fantastic and only show just how much of a fantastic artist she is and how creative she can be.

Owly is a sweetheart and does not deserve to have these rude people saying nasty things about her. End of story.

^agree. I think whoever made this passive aggressive “artist’s confession” is the one who should focus on their own maturity. 

As for stream behaviour, I’ve seen lots of her streams and never heard any shit like that. And even if she says that occasionally, so fucking what? Stop taking things so damn seriously. I don’t think admitting masturbating with a zucchini is immature, I think that’s fucking hilarious and it takes a bit of balls to say that on the internet when you’re a bit of an internet celebrity so to speak, especially one that used to get all kinds of shit constantly from people. 

I don’t like white knighting, but loosen the fuck up, buddy.

Women have been socialized to believe that they must remove hair for a number of reasons, primarily the following:

1. hair is historically and Biblically associated with power; we as a patriarchal culture are obsessed with keeping hair on men (facial hair, Hair Club for Men, hair plugs, whatever) and keeping it off women. You say hair on women is nasty; why is it only hair on women? Women and men have the same pubic hair. We all grow it out of our follicles for the same reason. Why is it only gross on women?
2. women’s bodies have been considered the property of men since the dawn of time, and therefore we have been held to a standard of beauty and attractiveness that is not determined by us but is instead determined by something called the male gaze, which is erases all sexualities and genders other than cisgender heterosexual men and assumes that women are performing for it.
3. childlike women are considered less “threatening” and more “feminine” because they are naive, quiet, and rely on ~*adult men*~ to take care of them.

AND ALSO:

1. there is a fallacy about pubic hair that it is dirty. It is not dirty. In fact, it’s there to keep your genitals cleaner. Pubic hair and armpit hair are also there to spread your pheromones around and make it easier for you to attract a mate. 
2. all mammals have hair. We’re mammals.

AND FINALLY:

1. No one else’s body is your business. Ever. You want to shave? Go ahead! That’s totally your prerogative and if you’re more comfortable shaving, feel free. But given that pubic hair isn’t innately dirty, there’s no reason for anyone to remove it if they don’t want to.

You’re not sending out some edgy, hardcore message here. You’re just reinforcing what our culture wants you to reinforce. Before you pick up that razor again, think about why you want to shave. Is it just because our culture told you to? Why’d they tell you to? What’s the point?

Do what makes you comfortable and what makes you happy, and let others do the same.
